This event is FIDE rated and part of the British Chess Federation Grand Prix. The event takes place over 2 weekends
Friday 30th January to Sunday 1st February 2004 and Saturday 7th to Sunday 8th February 2004
Venue: Wellington College, Crowthorne, Berkshire RG45 7PU - (35 miles south west of London)

If there is a sufficiently large non-English entry with high enough grades then IM norms may be possible. We expect more IM's this year. If you are from outside England and need a visa ask the Tournament Secretary for a letter to support your visa application.
A 9 round Open FIDE Swiss tournament over 2 weekends. Players who can only enter one weekend should contact the tournament secretary. Rate of play is 40 moves in 2 hours, followed by all remaining moves in 1 hour. There will be no adjournments.
