TAKE PART IN A WORLD RECORD!!!!!!!!!

RAISE MONEY FOR YOUNG PEOPLE!!!!!!

CAN YOU PLAY CHESS?????????????????

On Saturday 21st February 2004 at Wellington College, Crowthorne, International Chess Master, Andrew Martin, will attempt to beat the world record for simultaneous chess games. The world record stands at 310 games. The British record is 150 games. We need to find over 320 opponents for Andrew to play!

Anyone who can play chess is welcome - including juniors and casual players. Everyone who plays will receive a certificate of participation in the world record attempt. Any player who beats Andrew Martin will win a special prize. It is expected that the Guinness World Book of Records, national press and TV will cover the event.

We need commitments from players for the day. You need to arrive at the Sports Hall, Wellington College, by 8.45 am on Saturday Feb 21st and be able to stay for several hours. If you give the International Master a hard game you could be there until the evening! But don't worry - there will be refreshments on hand and many other activities and interests for you and your family and friends to enjoy.

The event will support charities and local youth activities. There will be an opportunity for you to raise money through sponsorship of your game.

If you can play chess and you want to be part of history then fill in the form below and send it back to Terry Lynch at terrance.lynch@ntlworld.com or 7, Little Croft, Yateley, Hampshire, GU46 6BU.
